Zalgo Text Generator
Zalgo Text Generator adds a small fixed set of combining marks to letters for a glitch-like appearance.
Example: zalgo text generator
hi
h̸́í̸
How to use this tool
- Type a short word or phrase.
- Run the Zalgo transformation; letters receive the two fixed marks.
- Check readability and line height after pasting into the target app.
How the result is made
The current transform appends two marks, an acute accent and an overlay slash, after each Unicode letter grapheme. “hi” becomes a decorated sequence rather than random marks of changing height. Numbers, punctuation, and spaces remain as entered. The output is still text, so copied characters retain the added marks.
When to use it
Use it for a short playful heading or a quick example of combining-character decoration. Underline and Strikethrough use one consistent mark per visible grapheme; Zalgo combines marks to create a busier effect. Keep the sample short so readers can still identify the underlying letters.
Details to check
The controls do not vary intensity in this implementation. Complex scripts, already accented letters, and fonts with limited combining-mark support may render unevenly. Extra code points affect counts, search, and editing, so do not use the decorated output for identifiers, passwords, or essential instructions.
Questions people ask
Is the decoration random?
No. The current tool adds the same two marks to every matched letter.
Are numbers changed?
No. Only graphemes containing a Unicode letter receive marks.
Why does the cursor behave oddly in the output?
The displayed letters now include combining code points.
