How to use this tool

  1. Paste text that contains numbers.
  2. Run Remove Numbers.
  3. Inspect units, currency marks, and leftover spacing.

How the result is made

The tool removes every character matching the Unicode number category. “Room 42” becomes “Room ”, including the trailing space. It is broader than an ASCII-only 0–9 filter: some numeric characters from other writing systems may also be removed. Letters, punctuation, and line breaks remain unchanged.

When to use it

Use it to make a text sample without numeric labels, clean numbered fragments before a comparison, or inspect a phrase without quantities. Reverse Numbers changes digit order instead of deleting digits. Remove Line Numbers targets prefixes on lines and leaves numbers inside the content.

Details to check

The tool does not remove adjacent units, currency symbols, or punctuation. “$42.50” can become “$.”, which is seldom useful as finished prose. Review surrounding spaces and symbols after deletion. If a number is part of an identifier, decide whether removing it would change the identifier’s meaning.
