How to use this tool

  1. Enter one or more words, with their original separators.
  2. Run Reverse Each Word and compare each word in its original position.
  3. Check apostrophes, hyphens, and combined characters before using the result.

How the result is made

The tool finds runs of Unicode letters, marks, and numbers, then reverses each run by grapheme cluster. “red blue” becomes “der eulb”. Separators such as spaces and punctuation remain at their original positions. This distinction matters: Reverse Words changes the order of whole words instead.

When to use it

Use it for word puzzles, reversible labels, or inspecting how a term looks backwards without losing sentence structure. It can also reveal a palindrome within a sentence while leaving other tokens readable enough to compare. It is deliberately separate from the homepage’s legacy line-by-line character reversal.

Details to check

Word boundaries here are runs of letters, marks, and digits. An apostrophe or hyphen separates runs, so each side may reverse independently. Grapheme segmentation protects many combined characters in modern browsers, but the output should still be reviewed for complex scripts and unusual punctuation.

Questions people ask

Does it reverse word order?

No. Word positions stay fixed.

What happens to punctuation?

Punctuation separates runs and remains where it was.

Is it the same as the homepage reverser?

No. The homepage reverses every line as a UTF-16 unit sequence.
