How to use this tool

  1. Paste the source text.
  2. Enter the exact text to find and its replacement.
  3. Review every changed occurrence in the output.

Literal matching

The search box is treated as ordinary text, not as a regular expression. Matching is case-sensitive: finding “cat” does not change “Cat.” Every occurrence of the supplied string is replaced. For example, replacing “red” with “blue” changes both copies in “red, red.” An empty find value is not accepted.

Safe editing workflow

Use it to update a repeated label, separator, or phrase in a short draft. Choose a sufficiently specific search string: replacing “art” also affects “cart” because there is no whole-word mode. Read the output before copying it into a source document, especially when the term may occur inside other words.

When another tool fits better

Regex Text Extractor finds patterns but is built to return matches rather than perform replacement. Remove Duplicate Words targets repeated adjacent words. For complex, context-sensitive edits, make the changes in an editor that previews individual replacements.
