Lowercase Converter
Lowercase Converter turns cased letters into lowercase without rearranging words or lines.
Example: lowercase converter
Hello
hello
How to use this tool
- Enter the text exactly as it appears.
- Run Lowercase Converter.
- Review proper names and abbreviations that may need capitals restored.
How the result is made
JavaScript lowercasing is applied to the whole input. “Hello” becomes “hello”, while spaces, punctuation, and line breaks retain their positions. This is a direct case conversion, not a spelling or grammar edit. Some Unicode letters may have language-specific or multi-character lowercase results.
When to use it
Use it to normalize a list for comparison, clean text pasted in all caps, or prepare a lowercase identifier before applying another tool. Sentence Case can then add capitals at detected sentence starts; Camel Case and Snake Case also remove separators and rebuild word boundaries.
Details to check
Lowercasing can erase meaningful capitalization in names, acronyms, and titles. The tool does not identify which words should be restored. If the source contains mixed languages, inspect the output for characters whose casing behaves differently from English.
