Shuffle Lines
Shuffle Lines randomly changes line order without editing the text inside each line.
Example: shuffle lines
one two
two one
How to use this tool
- Put one item per line.
- Run Shuffle Lines, repeating if you want another sequence.
- Copy the selected order and check blank entries.
How the result is made
The tool copies the line array and applies a random shuffle. One run might put “two” before “one”; a second run can produce a different order. Each line’s content stays intact, including its punctuation and spacing. Blank lines are shuffled as entries too.
When to use it
Use it to randomize prompts, create a practice order, or sample a fresh sequence from a short list. Shuffle Words changes word order and collapses whitespace between words. Reverse Lines produces a predictable opposite order instead of a random one.
Details to check
The shuffle is not seeded, so you cannot recreate an exact order from the same input. It is not suitable for auditable draws or security-sensitive randomness. Copy the chosen result if it matters, and remove blank lines first if empty entries should not participate.
