How to use this tool

  1. Enter words separated by whitespace.
  2. Run Shuffle Words and repeat for another variation.
  3. Check punctuation and collapsed spacing before copying.

How the result is made

The tool splits input on runs of whitespace, shuffles those pieces, and rejoins them with single spaces. “red blue” may become “blue red”, but the exact result varies. Punctuation attached to a piece moves with it; original tabs and line breaks are not preserved.

When to use it

Use it for a word-order game, random prompt order, or a playful phrase variation. Shuffle Lines preserves whole lines and their internal spacing. Reverse Words makes a deterministic reverse order within each line instead of a random permutation.

Details to check

Because the split is whitespace-based, punctuation is not treated as a separate token. Multiple spaces collapse, and empty edge pieces can appear if the source starts or ends with whitespace. The shuffle is not seeded and should not be used for a controlled random draw.

Questions people ask

Will my line breaks remain?

No. The output is joined with spaces.

Is the shuffle repeatable?

No. There is no seed control.

Are commas shuffled separately?

No. Punctuation attached to a word travels with that piece.
