How to use this tool

  1. Paste text with the paragraphs or physical lines you want to wrap.
  2. Set Line width from 10 to 200 and run the tool.
  3. Inspect long words, whitespace changes, and actual visual width.

How the result is made

The tool takes each existing line separately, splits it into whitespace-separated tokens, and packs words into rows up to the chosen width. A token longer than the width is cut into grapheme chunks. The width control is clamped between 10 and 200; it measures graphemes, not pixels. With width 10, “hello world” wraps into two lines because the combined text plus its space exceeds ten graphemes.

When to use it

Use it to prepare plain-text notes, emails, or documentation with a target column length. Split Text into Chunks ignores word boundaries and cuts every fixed number of graphemes. Remove Line Breaks does the reverse kind of formatting by joining all physical lines.

Details to check

Existing runs of spaces collapse when tokens are rejoined, and a long word may be broken without a hyphen. Wide characters and emoji can take more visual space than one Latin letter despite counting as one grapheme. Check the destination font if precise visual alignment matters.

Questions people ask

Is the width measured in pixels?

No. It is a grapheme-count target.

Will it split a long word?

Yes, when the word exceeds the selected width.

Are original spaces preserved?

No. Whitespace between tokens is normalized during wrapping.
